
























Three injured in Kangpokpi firing incident shifted to RIMS Imphal under tight security
Three individuals injured in the reported firing incident near Leilon Vaiphei and Konsakhul villages in Manipur's Kangpokpi district were brought to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, for treatment on Monday, June 15.
The injured persons have been identified as Genlenmang Vaiphei (18), Lunliandaw Vaiphei (20), and Paogou Lal (18).
All three reportedly belong to the Kuki community.
According to sources, the injured were transported to Imphal under tight security arrangements amid heightened tensions in the area.
The incident occurred earlier in the day when fresh tension reportedly erupted near Leilon Vaiphei and Konsakhul villages in Kangpokpi district. Reports indicated that a firing incident took place in the locality, leaving three persons injured.
