Our free job ad offer continues and vacancies keep rolling in

JOB ALERT Welcome to this week's jobs list, a rundown of vacancies El Reg is advertising for free to keep tech people in work amid the coronavirus pandemic.

As a gentle reminder, if you've got tech roles that need filling, we'll shout about them weekly for no charge. No catch. No snark. No money exchange. These are difficult times for everyone, and we want to lend the enterprise IT and technology community a helping hand. You can send your job vacancies here.

On with this week's roles:

First up, Meraki, a division of Cisco, is looking to fill two senior SRE roles in central London, England, that require an equal mix of software engineering, Linux performance tuning and system design, and consulting, evangelism, and requirements gathering with other engineering teams. We're reliably informed that Meraki London is a fast-growing branch office – the HQ is in San Francisco – and a really great place to work.

Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Observability SRE)

We process more than 600k metrics and logs per second to monitor our production environment. We want to increase that by 10x. Help us design and build out our next generation data infrastructure.

Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Dashboard SRE)

Dashboard SRE is responsible for scaling our main production application, the Meraki Dashboard. It's a huge distributed system - 7 million events per second in from 5 million network devices all over the world, and 4.5B HTTP requests per day. This team writes the software (Ruby) and automation (Ansible) to tie all that together.

If they don't suit you, how about this pair of positions from another one of the Meraki engineering teams:

Our next vacancy is for a company that was ranked as a Deloitte Fast 500 in 2019, Deskpro. It's looking for a support engineer for its SaaS solution in Wimbledon, England.

Head of Enterprise Architecture and Head of Service Operations

Don't let the current pandemic situation put you off coming to work as part of our IT Services team at Bristol City Council.

We already have two new members to our senior team joining us in the next two weeks on an immediate working from home basis; we're not pausing our ambition due to the current crisis, and we are seeking others that feel the same way!

Sure, it's going to be a little weird being interviewed and then starting work on a remote basis, but you'll be joining the team during exceptional circumstances where your talent will be immediately recognised.

If you're an experienced leader of Service Operations or Enterprise Architecture teams, please apply and help us drive our IT Transformation Programme forward.
