I've been in the market for a new washer and they are almost all 'smart'. Apparently it is assumed that starting the machine remotely by app is somehow practically useful.
I remember having an old electronics kit. It was basically a breadboard that you had to assemble yourself, had to push in the contacts from the back. You also had to assemble the pots and variable caps.
