Handy Haversack: An interesting point from The Dawn of Everything is that over the past 100,000+ years of our existence, only those periods of human political experimentation that involved oppression and top-down command left things like stone monuments and sepulchers. When we have enjoyed equality and commonality, we have not left our marks in the same way. So another note that tech is the new form of human oppression.

As I told you, I got a very troubling diagnosis in early 2020. Thinking about it calmly I realized I was potentially going to be erased off the face of the Earth. My conclusion was start yanking table cloths at the party before it was too late. Thus self-creation that's been methodically saved in the WFMU archive.

Well, I didn't die. So now I've got to live down the monster I created.

Avatar 🤖 Swag For Life Member 6:46pm
tim: I really appreciate this conversation and thinks it is important. At the same time history shows that most everyone will be forgotten. In modern times, not everyone had an obit in the newspaper, not everyone's name is on a gravestone or plaque, eventually these fail too. Ex: info on headstones erode over time, not all newspapers that run obits were saved, microfilmed, then digitized.
