A2B: Good evening Mark and Tech Talkniks!

Speaking of "tectonic" (without an "h"), did anyone in the Hackensack/East Rutherford area feel a jolt or any ground movement yesterday? I checked the USGS website early this morning and, according to their live earthquake map, it turns out a 3-pointer (as they call them in Cali) struck there. The epicenter was pinpointed at Hasbrouck Heights, pretty close to Teterboro Airport.

Funny thing is, what got me checking the USGS website was what felt like a mini-earthquake. The floor in my second-story bedroom shook a bit. And when I went downstairs to the living room, I noticed the ceiling fan was swaying a bit, but the fan wasn't on.

slugluv1313: greetings, Mark! Ed! Techtonistas!

loving this! gotta check out "An Oral History of Atlantis" -- The Rings of Saturn too

i am 66, so i remember when rotary phones were the "latest" technology 😹😹 . . . growing up, my family had ONE phone, in the kitchen -- some kids were lucky enough to have an extension phone in their bedrooms -- and the REALLY lucky kids had their own phones, with their own phone numbers, haha!

so in the Autumn of 1977, starting college -- i was positively thrilled to share a phone (yup a rotary!) with my dorm roommate 😹😹
