dale: was visiting an older couple and woman got a phone call that her paramount account was about to expire. she went to get her credit card and i asked 'do you HAVE a paramount account?' and she said 'i didn't think we did but i don't know. i convinced her to hang up and she could go online to reup if she actually had an account - they didn't. but she was ready to fork over a couple hundred bucks.

Sometimes that works, mostly it's best to ignore it. Also, be like me and never automatically load images, because the tracking pixel lets them know you opened the email, which means it's a valid address to a potential victim.

Webhamster Henry: What Law Enforcement needs to do is give out honeypot SSNs, bank accounts, etc that you can claim is your own in case you get that far into the scam.
