Our good buddy Elon Musk is aiding and abetting the invaders by allowing them to use his "Tsar Link" satellite internet service.
I think it was the former Ukr president who warned Yaroslav... it was Boris Johnson who suggested to Zelensky that he might go into exile. (Johnson didn't warn Zelensky about the invasion)
The Polish nation was occupied by the Germans longer than any other nation during WWII. The Polish people suffered accordingly.

I can't figure out that the Russians put so many land mines in Ukraine to stop the Ukraine forces. I wonder if they will remove them if they keep eastern Ukraine.
Very similar to the domestic night of the long knives where the SA was beheaded.

The narrative that is being pushed here is so deeply biased that it would take a couple of hours of history lessons to only have the smallest possibility for an honest discussion. Do these Pullitzer and Orwellian prize winners not have enough platform for their bootlicking propaganda already. Shame on you WFMU.

It's just wild that the right-wing meme factory and propaganda wing has swung SO HARD on this one. A couple of years ago, sentiment seemed pretty universal in the right and center-right wings of American political discourse (i.e., mainstream politics). That it has shifted so hard against support for Ukraine seems very much wedded to the Russia-loving MAGA takeover being complete on the farther right reaches. Just still shocks me how complete and total it has been. Since when do American politicians not want to send weapons? Sending weapons is pretty much what modern American politics is all about.

corporatism
noun
Political / Economic system in which power is exercised through large organizations (businesses, trade unions, their associated lobbying efforts, etc.) working in concert or conflict with each other; usually with the goal of influencing or subsuming the direction of the state and generally only to benefit their own socioeconomic agendas at the expense of the will of the people, and to the detriment of the common good.

Since a free democratic country was surprised attacked without a reason i was certain my aquaintence in CT would understand my concern. Somehow he was spouting disinnformation about Ukraine. I tried to explain different aspects of this war but his opinion was already formed. Saddly it did effect my perceived friendship.

Was it on Techtonic that I learned that Tesla makes most of its money not on car sales but on selling the carbon credits it earns by making electric cars to regular car companies so that they don't have to try?
