K-9 was in 3-4 seasons, but on and off. He sometimes didn’t rarely work properly in real life and a lot of the episodes he was in were extra goofy IMHO! That’s the sillier part of the Tom Baker era.
I dunno. The entire Star Wars franchise has a realy squidgy take on droid sapience vs. enslavement. I'm uncomfortable with the entire thing. And it goes totally unaddressed. I think we're too ashamed to nominate the Star Wars droids.
