I saw a talk recently with a retired NASA biologist whose specialty was all the ways that space will alter us, and he said something akin to: people need to stop thinking about it as / calling it “space”, as that implies a vast morass of nothing. What it actually is is an endless sea of unknown energies and radiations trying to alter us in endlessly unknown ways, and we have no way to prevent that 🤖 ♥ 6:50pm

Ken From Hyde Park: Thanks, Mark. Of all the episodes and discussions, one that sticks out to me is the police surveillance state. In the past, they'd investigate a crime by following clues and making an arrest. Now, they look at surveillance video and try to find a crime to pin on the person they don't like.   6:59pm
