DHS, something else that’s aged like milk Avatar 🤖 Swag For Life Member 6:14pm
Webhamster Henry: Haha Jolly Roger was so fun! Avatar 6:14pm
High_Quality_Fun: Alexa, what are your pronouns? Avatar 🤖 Swag For Life Member 6:16pm
Ken From Hyde Park: Getting distracted by the bee was the best Jolly Roger. 🐝   6:16pm
Sam: I used to ask telemarketers if they’d found Jesus. And then go on about how “He has a plan for your life”. It would scare them off.   6:16pm
?: you realize a lot of telemarketers are literally slaves, often kidnapped, held in gated, locked compounds where they suffer physical punishment or worse if they don't meet their quota? Avatar 🤖 6:17pm
herb.nyc: Jolly Roger, very much fun. Tho I feel bad for the caller, somewhat Episode 7?! Avatar 🤖 Swag For Life Member 6:17pm
Webhamster Henry: I want that Bing placement. Avatar 🤖 Swag For Life Member 6:18pm
Deano de los Muertos: Hahaha, this is great 🐝   6:19pm
Sam: How dumb is this telemarketer wow   6:19pm
Fredericks: I am having some trouble accepting how long this show has been on.   6:20pm
Fredericks:

↳ PaulRobeson1926 @6:06

Paying attention. Avatar 🤖 Swag For Life Member 6:21pm

Pre-Amazon Alexa I think? Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:29pm
StringOFperils:

Will thee SG OCNY: Good evening Mark Hurst and all!!!
Happy 400!!! Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:29pm
Mark Hurst: Hi WtSG and thanks!   6:33pm
Marie in Chicago: Hi Mark, hi All! Congrats, Mark! I love that there is a trial right now about the addictiveness of the algorithms for FB, IG... Avatar 🤖 Swag For Life Member 6:39pm
Webhamster Henry: A dead human cannot lift up a rock on Mars.   6:39pm
Marie in Chicago: my elderly (90) auntie in Ireland just kept saying, as we were talking about people talking about moving to mars, "but there's no air" "but there's no air" Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:40pm
Mark Hurst:

↳ Marie in Chicago @6:39

your auntie makes a good point   6:40pm
glassjonespiano: the human body cannot withstand the pressure to even get to Mars - we an barely survive going to the moon this is insane we can't survive going to Mars this author is uneducated and its sad flat out the human body will be dead by the time we get there - its a fact not fiction   6:41pm
Fredericks:

↳ @6:16

That you, DeeD?   6:42pm
@glassjonespiano: I can't believe WFMU of all stations is courting this kind of nonsense -we can't survive even going to the edge of space it melts human bodies by the time we get to Mars we will be MUSH its a pointless effort send drones not Humans save EARTH we can breathe HERE Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:43pm
PaulRobeson1926:

↳ Fredericks @6:20

Once I was, a lover
& I searched behind your eyes for you
And soon there'll be another Avatar 6:44pm
High_Quality_Fun: Turing test: robot picks up a rock and person can't tell if it's a robot or human picking up that rock   6:45pm
@glassjonespiano: play music please MARS is NOT HOME Avatar 🤖 Swag For Life Member 6:49pm
ultradamno: I'm sold. Going to Mars. Avatar 6:49pm
MarciB: This is such a fascinating overview - congratulations, Mark!   6:49pm
Glistener MW: This is not a music show 😅 But I do agree with you, Glass. I saw a talk recently with a retired NASA biologist whose specialty was all the ways that space will alter us, and he said something akin to: people need to stop thinking about it as / calling it “space”, as that implies a vast morass of nothing. What it actually is is an endless sea of unknown energies and radiations trying to alter us in endlessly unknown ways, and we have no way to prevent that Avatar 🤖 Swag For Life Member 6:50pm
Deano de los Muertos:

↳ Marie in Chicago @6:39

No WFMU either..who needs it! Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:50pm
PaulRobeson1926: Facial rec- There was also a bias in the roll film used in Photography for many, many years. The way the film was designed to capture skin tones and so on Avatar 🤖 Swag For Life Member 6:50pm
chris in the redwoods: is this where i buy a ticket to Mars?
congrats on all the episodes, Mark!
here's to 400 more!   6:50pm
Marie in Chicago:

↳ Deano de los Muertos @6:50

right on! hee hee hee Avatar 6:52pm
Mark T: Outstanding show tonight. Definitely want to go back and listen to the archives. Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:52pm
PaulRobeson1926: Car exhaust louder than stock was outlawed in NYC in part because of how often the purposeful backfire/exhaust set off the shot spotters Avatar 🤖 Swag For Life Member 6:52pm
DjLorraine:

↳ Marie in Chicago @6:39

I saw this too but i say oxygen. Imagine anytime their man made stuff has the tiniest leak or is defective ☠️. All mined and produced from our planet. It is not an endless supply of resources. Avatar 6:53pm
MarciB:

↳ PaulRobeson1926 @6:50

This is true - and color film was calibrated to flatter white skin tones. Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:54pm
Mark Hurst:

↳ Mark T @6:52

Thanks, Mark!   6:54pm
Fredericks: ICE is always taking pictures of people's faces. Even when they don't arrest them. Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:54pm
Mark Hurst:

↳ MarciB @6:49

Thanks, Marci 👍   6:54pm
Marie in Chicago:

↳ DjLorraine @6:52

yeah, totally. It is so unrealistic. Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:55pm
Mark Hurst:

↳ chris in the redwoods @6:50

Thanks, Chris, here's hoping Avatar 6:56pm
MarciB: Facial recognition is so problematic. It's something my clients clamor for when I'm working on their photo collections - yet I hate to use it - even for personal use. Avatar 🤖 Swag For Life Member 6:56pm
chresti: Thanks Mark!   6:56pm
Fredericks: That was great recap, Mark. Thanks for all the important information. Avatar 🤖 Swag For Life Member 6:56pm

Sam: Keep on keeping on Mark Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:57pm
Mark Hurst: Thanks, Fredericks, thanks Bas! Appreciate all your support over the years. Avatar 🤖 6:57pm
herb.nyc: Nicely played, Clapper. And nicely done, mark, not sarcastically. Thank you! Avatar 6:57pm
MarciB: Mark, maybe do this every 50-100 episodes! Avatar 🤖 Swag For Life Member 6:57pm
Deano de los Muertos: Thanks so much, Mark!
Keep on truckin’! Avatar 🤖 Swag For Life Member 6:57pm
Webhamster Henry: Ahh things have not improved one bit over 400 episodes! Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:57pm
Mark Hurst:

↳ herb.nyc @6:57

Thanks, herb, and hanks, Deano Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:58pm

StringOFperils: Thank you, Mark! Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:58pm
bleubombersune: Thanks Mark all stray safe and be well Avatar 🤖 Swag For Life Member 6:59pm
Ken From Hyde Park: Thanks, Mark. Of all the episodes and discussions, one that sticks out to me is the police surveillance state. In the past, they'd investigate a crime by following clues and making an arrest. Now, they look at surveillance video and try to find a crime to pin on the person they don't like.   6:59pm
Alicia Renee: Thank YOU for persisting @Mark Hurst ! & for bringing us all fodder for continuing resistance ✊ Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:00pm
Mark Hurst:

↳ Ken From Hyde Park @6:59
