I'm so interested in the "hallucinating" that happens with AI--what is behind that...?
I grant that Tucker Carlson probably isn't a frequent listen for you but would highly recommend that interview... Tucker came very prepared to challenge Altman on the immense power & influence he stands to gain over the world's population into the future and thoroughly exposed him.
It made me realize that the people enabling Open AI's rise must be aware of how unscrupulous he is and ultimately happy for him to be their mouthpiece because he has no moral compass. I know you already know, but he is quite scary.

Hallucinating just means screwing up. Not much mystery to it.
Generally speaking I think many of them fear society's apparent eagerness to equivocate AI with God (rely in it for life's most difficult questions). Tucker revealed that Sam Altman doesn't know anything about religion or why that idea would scare people.
He also challenged Altman directly on the circumstances of the Open AI whistleblower's death, prompting Altman to literally ask if Tucker was accusing him of murder... it was very spicy.

in 1998 it was unheard of to develop an ecommerce platform unless you were one of the giant software companies. this weekend I saw a presentation by two high school students who built a supply chain exchange marketplace for farmers and schools
In a widely publicized 1990 case, Judas Priest was sued by the families of two young men who made a suicide pact in 1985 after drinking, smoking marijuana, and listening to the band's album Stained Class.
The families alleged that subliminal messages like "do it" and "let's be dead" were embedded in the song "Better by You, Better than Me".
The band denied placing any messages in their music. Lead singer Rob Halford testified that if they were to insert a subliminal command, it would be to buy more records.
Ultimately, the judge ruled that there was no deliberate intent by the band to place suicidal messages in their music and that the music was not the cause of the youths' deaths.
