We all suspected it was coming, but now we finally have confirmation that another Prime Day is indeed on its way. The summer installment of Amazon's big deals extravaganza has just been announced for the 23rd to the 26th June, and there are already a few early bird discounts available to shop.
We at TechRadar have been covering these events since those long-distant years when Prime Day lasted a mere 24 hours, so we have a pretty good idea how it's all going to play out. Along with the various wild-card deals — which we can't really predict — there are certain products that will almost certainly show up in discounts section.
If you've been planning to buy one of these products, this is your cue to hold your horses. Hang on for another three weeks, and you could save yourself some cash. I've rounded up 35 products we're expecting to be discounted on Amazon Prime Day below.
As a general rule of thumb, you can expect most of Amazon's own devices to be included in the Prime Day sales — and that includes gadgets from its subsidiary companies. Amazon's own event press release confirms that there will be "up to 60% off" Alexa+-enabled smart devices like the Echo Dot Max and Echo Show 11, as well as "up to 65% off" Kindle e-readers, Fire TV sticks, select Ring and Blink home security gadgets, and eero Wi-Fi mesh routers. I've also included a couple of the usual suspects from Apple in the mix.
A final piece of advice before we begin. I haven't included them below, but it's also worth holding off if you were planning to sign up for Kindle Unlimited or Audible — Amazon is promising a 3-months free deal during Prime Day. The same goes for Prime Video — Amazon says subscriptions will starts at $0.99 a month.
Fire TV sticks
Fire TV sticks — and Cubes — are all part of Amazon's own gadget lineup. They reliably attract discounts most Prime Day events.
Echo devices
Amazon makes a wide range of Alexa-enabled smart speakers and smart home displays. We're expecting plenty of price-drops across the range over Prime Day, as has been the case during previous events.
Kindles
Kindle is Amazon's hugely popular e-reader range, and it's promising discounts over the Prime Day event. If you're not sure which model you want, take a look at my Kindle range guide for a run-down of the key differences.
Blink home security
Blink makes some excellent video doorbells and security cameras. Just like competitor Ring, Blink is owned by Amazon. That means we're likely to see discounts on this range come Prime Day.
Other Amazon smart home gadgets
It's a little harder to predict which products specifically will be included in the sale, but if you have any Amazon-branded, smart home gadgets in your cart, it's worth holding off buying. Oh, and Eero — the mesh network specialist — is also an Amazon company.
Miscellaneous
Outside of Amazon's own sprawling product ecosystem, there are a number of other branded products that reliably attract discounts over Prime Day events. Below are just a few — I'll be adding to this section as we go along.
