It's not all about speed when it comes to streaming soccer on Peacock TV with a VPN. I noticed that when I switched from ExpressVPN to NordVPN.
In our May 2026 lab tests, ExpressVPN (1117 Mbps) came out with nearly twice the download speeds of NordVPN (688 Mbps) when we took average measurements between a US and UK server.
But what I noticed most when I switched my Premier League streaming to NordVPN is that I rarely, if ever, get caught in a buffering loop or end up with the action freezing or stuttering.
With other VPNs, I usually find I have to manually disconnect two or three times over 90 minutes, which brings the double annoyance of having to get up off the sofa and the possibility of missing a goal.
NordVPN, though, has far lower latency than all the other VPNs over long-distance connections. It recorded latency figures of about half the rest of the pack, in fact, and that's crucial for more stable streams with fewer frames dropped.
So, if you're trying to watch your Premier League soccer on your Peacock TV subscription while you're abroad, then I believe that NordVPN is very much where it's at.
We rate it as the best streaming VPN on TechRadar and, best of all, you can get it right now at a discounted rate. It usually starts from $3.39 per month but it's currently available at $3.09 instead.
For streaming Peacock wherever you go, you're only going to need the entry-level NordVPN price tier. That's the one called NordVPN Basic.
It's $3.09 per month on the two-year plan but you can sign-up for one year at $4.99 per month instead.
There's only about $20 difference in total, though, so the two-year plan would be my tip.
If all this still seems a little rich to you, then try Surfshark ($1.78 per month) or PrivadoVPN ($1.11 per month). Like ExpressVPN, while both are fast, they can't match NordVPN for super-consistent low latency performance.
