Front-end software development startup Vercel Inc. introduced a set of new products today at Ship, its annual conference, to deepen its agentic artificial intelligence infrastructure platform to align how enterprises deploy, run and scale with AI agents.
“Each new generation of software needs a new generation of infrastructure. For the agent era, that’s Vercel,” said founder and Chief Executive Guillermo Rauch. “Vercel is where coding agents deploy software, where teams build and deploy their own full-stack apps and agents.”
The transition for software to build software with AI agents is already fully in swing. At the beginning of the year, the company said fewer than 3% of deployments on its platform were triggered by coding agents; now agents account for more than half of all commits.
The company added that token volume through the Vercel AI Gateway has grown from about 2 million to 20 million over the same period as AI agents have proliferated.
To keep up with this momentum and provide developers with the framework and tooling needed to give them what they need to keep up with code to deploy using AI agents, Vercel is rolling out a large number of new tools.
These include Vercel Services, a project-package deployment engine; the Agent Stack, a set of AI tools bundled for agentic coding; eve, an “opinionated” open-source agent framework; Vercel Agent, which uses AI proactively to help developers manage application and agentic infrastructure; and Vercel for Enterprise Apps and Agents for enterprise use.
At the top of the list, Vercel Services allows teams to deploy back ends, front ends and services within a single project, providing routing and domain over private networks using secure authentication handled automatically. A single commit gives developers a single URL for an entire application, simplifying project generation for Next.js front ends and Python back ends entirely on Vercel. Available in beta mode starting July 1.
The Agent Stack bundles together Vercel’s widely used AI tooling, including the company’s AI software development kit, AI Gateway, Vercel Sandbox, Workflow SDK and Chat SDK. It’s now complemented by Vercel Connect, which replaces long-lived credentials with short-lived tokens, connected only to the people or agents that require them, along with full audit trails. Connect launches with full integrations for Slack, GitHub, Snowflake, Salesforce, Notion and Linear, with connectors available for OAuth or application programming interfaces.
For developers in the field, Vercel also launched eve. The company calls this an opinionated, open-source framework that becomes a scaffold that describes how to build, run and scale agents. It combines all the pieces for assembling, evaluating and running agents. According to Vercel, eve is the framework that the company builds and runs its own agents, now released as open source for the rest of the world to experiment with.
Vercel Agent takes the company’s own vision of AI and proactively helps developers manage applications and agent infrastructure in production. It can view traffic, traces and alerts to investigate issues autonomously and recommend fixes for human approval. Imagine that it works like an always-running agentic mechanic that keeps things humming smoothly. It’s available today in beta mode.
The company’s enterprise offering, Vercel for Enterprise Apps and Agents, packages the company’s full toolset for developers and the information technology team to use with identity and access controls and the option to deploy within a company’s own Amazon Web Services account. It includes Enterprise Managed Users, which provide the global management of Vercel and v0 users, and within Vercel Passport, allowing internal apps and agents to live behind a company’s identity provider by default.
