7AI launches PLAID ELITE fully managed agentic security operations service

Agentic artificial intelligence security startup 7AI Inc. today announced the launch of PLAID ELITE, a fully managed AI-native security operations service.

The new service combines autonomous investigation by AI agents with oversight from 7AI security engineers to deliver continuous follow-the-sun coverage without requiring customers to build or scale an internal operations team.

It handles alert ingestion, enrichment, triage, investigation and response work autonomously, with the AI agents used to complete investigations end-to-end, typically without human intervention. Users retain full visibility and control over their security posture while the agents work continuously across the environment.

The new offering differs from the traditional staffed managed-services model, where coverage scales with analyst headcount, as it improves with investigation volume, with system performance compounding as agents accumulate more context on customer environments, attacker patterns and signal behavior.

It has a self-reinforcing cycle whereby new threats trigger automated hunting, hunts drive investigations, investigations inform response and response feeds detection optimization. The company says the model is designed to redirect security team capacity away from mechanical triage and toward threat hunting, detection engineering and proactive defense work.

“PLAID ELITE combines agents that investigate continuously with 7AI security engineers adding the context and judgment that expertise actually requires,” said Israel Barak, chief information security officer of 7AI.

The company was previously in the news in December when it raised $130 million in Series A funding from Greylock, CRV, Spark Capital, Blackstone Innovations Investments and Index Ventures. 7AI was founded in 2024 by Lior Div and Striem-Amit, who previously co-founded Cybereason Inc.

7AI says it has processed more than 7 million investigations across customer environments in its first year of enterprise-scale operation, with agents autonomously completing the majority of investigation work end-to-end. The company reported that its customer base grew threefold quarter-over-quarter and that its channel pipeline expanded 6.5 times over three quarters.

The company’s customers include DXC Technology Co., BigID Inc., Duck Creek Technologies Inc., OneSpan Inc. and law firm Cole Scott & Kissane. Across those deployments, 7AI said it has measured 95% to 99% reductions in false positives and cut investigation times from hours to minutes. Enterprise customers move from signed contract to first autonomous investigation in under 72 hours and reach full production in under 30 days, according to the company.

The company also said its Amazon Web Services Inc. partnership has advanced, with a listing on AWS Marketplace badged “Deployed on AWS,” acceptance into the AWS ISV Accelerate program and availability through AWS Security Hub Extended. Roughly 45% of 7AI’s pipeline now originates through channel partners.
