Rory McIlroy's bid to join the exclusive club of back-to-back Masters champions gets underway this week as the first major competition of the 2026 golf season tees off at Augusta National Golf Club.
The star finally claimed the elusive green jacket last year on his 17th attempt at winning golf's most prestigious tournament. His playoff victory over Justin Rose also saw the 36-year-old complete a career Grand Slam and end an 11-year drought.
McIlroy will now look to win a second straight Masters title, emulating a feat achieved only by Tiger Woods, Nick Faldo and Jack Nicklaus.
Leading the betting heading into this year's tournament is world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, while LIV Golf duo Bryson DeChambeau and 2023 champion Jon Rahm are also strongly tipped to claim the $3.6 million winner's purse.

What is the US TV schedule for the Masters 2026?
With multiple platforms sharing coverage at various times, following the 2026 Masters won't be straightforward for viewers in the US.
This year's tournament marks Prime Video's debut as a golf broadcaster, with the streaming service providing early coverage from the Augusta National Golf Club on Thursday, April 9, and Friday, April 10.
Paramount Plus will air two hours of early weekend coverage from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. ET, while CBS will exclusively broadcast the afternoon action on Saturday and Sunday, including the decisive final round.

Watch the Masters 2026 Tournament for free
The Masters website and mobile app will stream every shot live and free with a simulcast of the TV broadcasts over the course of the four days, making them the simplest way to follow the action from Augusta. Viewers can tune in for daily coverage beginning each morning, including live feeds of Amen Corner and holes 4, 5, 6, 15 and 16. The app can be found in Apple's app store or on Google Play.
Watch the Masters 2026 in the US without cable
Linear TV coverage in the US is split between CBS and ESPN, and live TV streaming services such as DirecTV (which has a dedicated Masters hub page), Fubo and YouTube TV carry both channels.
A premium Paramount Plus subscription will allow you to stream the tournament from Thursday through Sunday. That includes the third and final round with CBS's TV feed from 2 to 7 p.m. ET.
ESPN's coverage will be accessible with an ESPN Unlimited streaming package.
ESPN's streaming platforms have been shaken up in recent months. The sports network now offers two tiers with its direct-to-consumer setup: ESPN Select and ESPN Unlimited. If you want full access to ESPN's networks and services, such as ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, ESPNews and ESPN Deportes, as well as all of ESPN Select's content, then ESPN Unlimited is the way to go. It costs $30 a month.
Paramount Plus has two main subscription plans in the US: Essential for $9 a month and Premium Plus for $14 a month. Both offer coverage of the Masters.
The cheaper Essential option has ads for on-demand streaming, but it lacks live CBS feeds and the ability to download shows to watch offline later. Students may qualify for a 25% discount.
As mentioned above, the most straightforward -- and cost effective -- way of streaming this year's tournament is via The Masters official website and the tournament's official app, which will be simulcasting ESPN and CBS TV coverage for free in the US.
Livestream the Masters 2026 in the UK
Things are more straightforward for golf fans in the UK, who can watch all of this year's Masters live on Sky Sports with a Now membership. The tournament will be broadcast across its Sky Sports Golf and Main Events channels, with further coverage on its Red Button service.
Viewers in the UK will be able to watch the Masters 2026 on Sky Sports Golf, with extensive coverage of each day's play. Subscribers can also stream the action via the Sky Go app. Sky subsidiary Now (formerly Now TV) offers streaming access to Sky Sports channels with a Now Sports membership. You can get a day of access for £15 (perhaps just for the final round), or sign up to a monthly plan from £35 a month to watch all four days of the tournament.
Livestream the Masters 2026 in Australia
The Players Championship 2026 can be watched Down Under on Fox Sports via Foxtel. If you're not a Fox subscriber, your best option is to sign up for the streaming service Kayo Sports.
A Kayo Sports subscription starts at AU$30 a month and lets you stream on one screen, while its Premium tier costs AU$46 a month for simultaneous viewing on up to three devices.
