YouTube is getting in on the end-of-year stats-sharing craze with its new Recap feature, which collects highlights from your 2025 watching habits. A Recap plays like a reel and is divided into sections like Personality Type and, for people in the US, Your YouTube Award.
The feature is distinct from the existing YouTube Music Recap, though if you've listened to 10 hours of music on YouTube, you'll get a Music Recap as well. Google said the Recaps are available to most people except for children and supervised accounts.
Meanwhile, the most anticipated recap feature of all -- Spotify Wrapped -- is also due to appear this week.
Don't miss any of our unbiased tech content and lab-based reviews. Add CNET as a preferred Google source.
Here's how to access your YouTube Recap:
- Go to the You tab at the bottom of the YouTube app and tap on the Recap banner.
- Visit youtube.com/recap.
