Our methodology

CNET editors build the surveys using Alchemer, which also collects the data. We ask several questions to rate and review tech products, including overall satisfaction with a product and its features, to understand your experience with different devices, and to better understand the differences between brands' devices. 

People's Picks surveys rank devices based on respondents' average ratings. Scores range from 0 to 5, with 5 being the highest score. CNET editors consider all ratings for each brand, particularly overall satisfaction. No manufacturer can pay to be included, and no advertiser influences our results. The results are based entirely on respondents' votes.
