Tournament debutants Cape Verde will look to extend their fairytale 2026 World Cup on Friday, as they go in search of a win against Saudi Arabia that would seal qualification from Group H.

The Blue Sharks represent the smallest country to ever qualify for a FIFA World Cup. However, Cape Verdean players pulled off arguably the most impressive result of the tournament so far. In their opening fixture, the players held favorite Spain to a goalless draw, then claimed another against-the-odds result with a 2-2 draw against Uruguay in their second match. 

Saudi Arabia also remains in the hunt for a place in the Round of 32, despite suffering a 4-0 hammering at the hands of Spain last time out. The team's 1-1 draw with Uruguay in its opening game means a win here in Houston will be enough to secure a spot in the knockout phase of this tournament for the first time since the last World Cup in the USA back in 1994. 

Cape Verde takes on Saudi Arabia in this Group H match on Friday at Houston Stadium (NRG Stadium) in Texas, with kickoff at 7 p.m. CT local time. That makes it an 8 p.m. ET and a 5 p.m. PT start on the East and West Coasts in the US and Canada, a 1 a.m. BST start in the UK and a 10 a.m. AEST kickoff in Australia on Saturday.

Exclusive English live broadcast rights for every World Cup 2026 match are with Fox, with games set to be shown on Fox and FS1. This Group H match will be shown on FS1.

Broadcast rights for this summer's World Cup in Canada are with Bell Media, who are set to air all matches in English on TSN and CTV, and in French on RDS. That also means coverage will be available on the TSN Plus streaming platform.
