If you've grown tired of relentless price hikes from your favorite streaming platforms, it's nice to know that free TV services like Tubi, Fawesome and Pluto TV can be counted on for all kinds of great shows and movies. New films (and TV shows) arrive on these platforms every month, making them fantastic options if you don't want to pay for another service.
Tubi consistently releases dozens of high-quality titles each month, and this December is no exception. You can catch Oscar-winning Moonlight, Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street and Akira Kurosawa's Rashomon on the platform, along with two new originals that piqued our interest. The action-packed thriller A Mother's Confession arrives on Dec. 5, and Hag, about a woman who becomes obsessed with her roommate, comes to the platform on Dec. 12.

If holiday movies are more your speed, Fawesome has tons of classics like It's A Wonderful Life and White Christmas, while Plex has a great selection of Hallmark holiday movies, including Hitched for the Holidays. And if you just love the comfort of the action classics, check out Pluto TV, where you can watch films in its newly launched The Holidays Are Brutal collection. Tubi
A Mother's Confession (Dec. 5)
A Mother's Confession is the first of two new Tubi originals dropping on the platform this December. In the revenge thriller, a young boy is caught in the crossfire of a gang-related shooting. His distraught single mother starts to investigate those responsible, but faces a moral dilemma about just how far she's willing to go to exact revenge.
Hag (Dec. 12)
In the campy new thriller Hag, Jane de Wet plays the titular character, a young woman whose relationship with her gay roommate becomes a dangerous obsession. RuPaul's Drag Race contestant Adore Delano appears in a supporting role, and the film also stars Ryan de Villiers and Anja Taljaard.
