For small businesses and online sellers shipping out products, there's one device I always recommend - the Munbyn RW403B. This thermal label printer reviewed so well during our tests, it's become one of the products I always look out for in the sales.

Right now, the Munbyn RW403B is discounted down to $75.99 (was $119.99) at Amazon.

In the review, Jim noted that "it’s aimed at any small businesses looking to print large volumes of shipping labels, price tags or other professional-looking stickers. I think it’ll also interest home users as it comes with software that makes it fun to produce decorative labels for gift-wrapping and the like."

Today's top shipping label printer deal

The Munbyn RealWriter 403B performed very well in all my tests

Jim Hill, Senior Printer Editor

No question, the RW403B (or RealWriter 403B, to give it its full title) is one of the best examples in the label printer category. It's highly portable, feels well-built in the hand, with a 203dpi print resolution and print speeds of around 72 labels per minute.

In his comprehensive review, our senior printer editor Jim said, "as a desktop thermal label printer, the Munbyn RealWriter 403B performed very well in all my tests."

Comparing it to printing labels using a traditional inkjet printer, he called it "quicker, more reliable and more fun." He also found it very easy to get started with this printer, which is compatible across Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac, and Chromebook devices.

The RW403B also features Dynamic Auto-Calibration, which makes sure labels are correctly aligned, and that's absolutely essential if you're printing to non-standard paper, like transparent or glittery labels.

Including it in our guide to the best label printers, Jim said, "The Munbyn RealWriter 403B is a robust and reliable thermal label printer that proved useful for a wide range of labelling jobs ranging from name tags to shipping labels. I can see this printer being used mainly for shipping labels, which it prints very clearly, or in retail where it can churn out promotional labels and price tags with minimal fuss."

While it's ideal for anyone who needs to print labels for post in black-and-white, I've also spotted the Munbyn RW405B dual-color model also on sale at Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk. I've included more details on this thermal label printer below.
