If you are a professional looking for your next opportunity in the growing future health space, consider one of the following 10 companies.

When it comes to careers in future health, there are an array of exciting opportunities for professionals with the necessary skills, but finding that perfect role can sometimes feel like a full-time job in itself. 

At SiliconRepublic.com, we have taken that first step for you and compiled a list of some of the most interesting future health job vacancies currently on offer in Ireland. So if you are in the process of job hunting, keep reading to discover if any of these roles or organisations sound like a good fit. 

Aerogen

Aerosol drug delivery company Aerogen has plenty of open roles suited to professionals looking to work in a future health-oriented organisation. In Galway, open roles include clinical affairs manager, global financial planning and analysis manager, regional people operations lead, senior mechanical design engineer and senior operational excellence engineer. Some roles are also available in Shannon, Co Clare.

Alexion

Massachusetts-based pharma Alexion has been operating in Ireland since 2013, with locations in Dublin and Athlone, and was acquired by AstraZeneca in 2020. At the Dublin premises, vacant roles include senior manager in network supply planning, MSAT scientist in cell culture, and senior real-world data scientist. Also in Dublin or Cork, there is an opening for a senior director in end-to-end digital strategy and innovation. 

Amgen

Pharmaceutical company Amgen is looking to hire additional expertise to undertake work at its Dún Laoghaire facility. Job vacancies at the organisation include positions as a validation manager, bioprocess technician, and senior engineer for process and equipment. 

BMS

Pharmaceutical Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) has been active in Ireland for more than six decades and has several facilities throughout the country – in Swords, Cruiserath, Blanchardstown and Shannon – employing roughly 1,000 people.

Currently, there are multiple future health-focused jobs to be availed of at the Cruiserath premises. Available roles include a graduate validation associate scientist/engineer in manufacturing, science and technology position, a role for a drug product associate in sterile drug production, and a similar role for a senior position, among others. 

Luminate Medical

In Galway, Luminate Medical has a number of roles on offer to professionals with skills suited to the future health space. Positions include clinical trial protocol specialist, senior cloud architect, associate/graduate R&D engineer, and senior design assurance engineer, all available in Galway. 

Medtronic

In May, global healthcare technology company Medtronic announced 85 new roles in Galway through the establishment of a European software development hub for its patient care systems function.

Ireland-based professionals interested in working at Medtronic can apply for roles such as senior reliability software engineer, senior software engineer for the catalyst team, principal training and education specialist for robotics, principal R&D engineer, and a range of positions in the coronary and renal denervation department. 

MSD

Pharmaceutical multinational MSD is actively looking to recruit for several roles in Ireland. The organisation has sites in multiple locations and has openings for a senior scientist in analytical R&D, a process engineer, an associate director for drug substance commercialisation, and a validation senior engineering specialist.

Healthcare company Optum has a vacancy for a clinical terminologist, and an associate director for data engineering and healthcare economics at its Dublin location. There are additional opportunities for professionals in the tech, project management and consulting spaces. 

xWaveTechnologies

Irish AI healthtech company xWave Technologies recently announced plans to raise €3m in a new round of funding. This has enabled the creation of 30 new job opportunities to be filled within the next three years. Currently, the Ireland and UK teams are looking to recruit a product lead for AI products to the health technology and clinical decision support sector. 

Viatris

Healthcare company Viatris is looking to recruit several professionals, across a range of disciplines, to its Ireland facilities.

The Galway team is looking to add a senior QA executive for quality compliance, an EHS advisor, quality control analysts, and a microbiology technician.

In Dublin, there are opportunities for professionals skilled in regulatory affairs, global device quality, European regulatory policy/intelligence, specialist RIM data maintenance and QC analytics, among other jobs. Viatris also has remote positions open to jobseekers.
