It’s the Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator of the 2026 IPL season. This is a straight knockout game, with the winner going on to play Qualifier 2 against Gujarat Titans, who lost to Royal Challengers Bengaluru in yesterday's Qualifier 1. RCB await the the winner of Qualifier 2 in the final.

The two teams had contrasting starts to the season. RR won their first four matches, whereas SRH lost three of their first four. But the orange team regained form after the return of their full-time captain Pat Cummins to win eight of their last 10 matches and finish tied on points with RCB and GT at the summit. They only missed out on playing Qualifier 1 due to net run rate.

SRH are slight favorites thanks to their batting lineup. Not only do they have Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, and Ishan Kishan at the top, all of whom have been firing, but the purple patch of Heinrich Klaasen, who’s in the race for the Orange Cap.

RR, on the other hand, rely on their openers, particularly the 15-year-old wonderkid Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who smashed a century in defeat the last time these two teams met in the league stage. But they'll be happy with their overall form heading into tonight's encounter.

They played a virtual knockout game against Mumbai Indians last weekend in which Jofra Archer rose to the occasion, not only making 32 off 15 with the bat, but also taking 3/17 in his four overs with the ball.
