Smeg's retro-styled coffee makers are favourites of influencers and caffeine-crazed writers (hello!) alike, and now there's a new bundle to deliver your daily latte, cappucino or flat white fix. Smeg has launched a new bundle that gives you its ECF12 Espresso Coffee Machine and its Mini Milk Frother at a new bargain price.

We've seen both the espresso machine and the milk frother before, but this bundle represents better value: sold separately, a Smeg ECF12 Espresso Coffee Machine is £399.95 and the Smeg Mini Milk Frother is £99.95 to £129.95 depending on the colour you choose. As a bundle you're getting both for £399.95.

Smeg Espresso Machine and Milk Frother bundle: what do you get for your money?

The Smeg ECF12 Espresso Coffee Machine is a cute, compact, manual design with a reservoir round the back and a thermoblock system for quick coffee making. I have another Smeg thermoblock coffee machine and it's very quick to heat up, which is handy when you're in a rush in the mornings.

The coffee maker delivers 15-bar pressure, which is standard for home espresso making, and it has a stainless steel filter holder that's compatible with ground coffee or paper pods. The drip tray is removable so you can fit larger cups under the spouts, and for easy cleaning.

The Mini Milk Frother is a big cylinder with three functions: hot milk, hot milk foam and cold milk foam. It has a ceramic non-stick coating and a removable whisk for easy cleaning, and there's just one button to control everything.

I do love a Smeg appliance – I've got several – but I'm a little disappointed by the colour choices here: the bundle is available in white, black or cream, but not the more fun Smeg colours such as pastel blue and green or bright red. No doubt we'll see more colours in due course.
