Tottenham will be relegated from the top flight for the first time in 49 years this Sunday, if they lose to Everton and West Ham beat Leeds. Were that to transpire, it would go down as the most stunning fall from grace since Juventus were flushed from Serie A in 2006 over the Calciopoli scandal.

Any other combination of results, however, would see Nuno Espírito Santo's men fall through the trapdoor and into the Championship alongside Wolves and Burnley, who each had relegation confirmed several weeks ago.

Holding a two-point lead over West Ham, Tottenham are firmly in the driving seat. Roberto de Zerbi's men also have a vastly superior goal difference, so were the teams to finish level on points – which would be the case if Tottenham drew their final fixture and West Ham won theirs – Spurs would be safe.

Although neither Everton nor Leeds have anything to play for, the occasion should sharpen their focus. Daniel Farke's men are unbeaten in eight league games and have won four of those, a rich vein of form that only recently secured their own Premier League status. Everton, are winless in six and last kept a clean sheet two months ago, but the goals are still flowing for David Moyes' men.

The reverse fixtures, incidentally, resulted in victories for Leeds and Tottenham.

If Spurs were to cling on, they'd owe a huge debt of gratitude to Aston Villa, who fielded a severely weakened team against them at the start of the month. Not long after, VAR denied the Hammers a goal that would have secured them a rousing point against Arsenal.

Whatever happens, it won't be due to one game or one decision. Tottenham are one of the richest football clubs in the world, one of the instigators of the Premier League and a Super League co-conspirator. West Ham, though no strangers to relegation, aren't a huge way off. The plight of both clubs arguably stems from years of mismanagement at board-level.

Read on as we explain how to watch the 2026 Premier League final day online, on TV and potentially for free wherever you are. Scroll down for the European permutations.

What are the Premier League Europe scenarios?

The race for European places is extremely convoluted.

Arsenal, Man City and Man Utd have locked down the top three places and will qualify for the Champions League no matter what happens on the final day of the Premier League season.

Aston Villa (4th, 62 points) have also qualified for the Champions League by virtue of winning the Europa League. Liverpool (5th, 59 points), Bournemouth (6th, 56 points), and Brighton (7th, 53 points) each retain UCL aspirations.

If Liverpool were to leapfrog Aston Villa, each of the top six teams would reach the Champions League, with the team in 7th slotting into the Europa League.

However, if Unai Emery's men were to finish 4th, the team in 5th would qualify for the UCL, while those in 6th and 7th would earn spots in the Europa League.

Bournemouth, Brighton, Chelsea (52 points), Brentford (52 points) and Sunderland (51 points) are all in the Europa league frame. Crystal Palace (15th, 45 points) could also make the cut by virtue of winning the Conference League.

Chelsea are currently occupying the sole Conference League slot, but once the pack is reshuffled on Sunday, it could belong to Brighton, Brentford or Sunderland instead.

What's the Premier League relegation picture?

Either West Ham (18th, 36 points) or Tottenham (17th, 38 points) will be relegated on the Premier League's final day.

However, the only scenario in which Spurs would go down is if they lost to Everton and West Ham beat Leeds.

West Ham would even go down if they were to finish level on points with Tottenham. That's because Spurs' goal difference is -10 and the Hammers' is -22, which would require a ludicrous 12-goal swing in West Ham's favour.

Wolves (20th, 19 points) and Burnley (19th, 21 points) have already been relegated, but the Old Gold could yet salvage a small amount of pride by leapfrogging the Clarets.
