How to run recurring virtual meetings efficiently

  • Start with a checkin question for connection (10% of the meeting length)

  • Capture decisions made

  • Capture open action items

    • and check in on open ones every time, otherwise they get lost/forgotten due to poor personal execution
  • Align on discussion topics

    • All participants braindump all the discussion topics they want to cover

    • Quickly vote, everybody gets 3 votes to vote for the 3 discussion topics they think we really need to cover this time

    • Meeting host responsible for final order based on vote & their taste

    • Keep track of outstanding discussion topics from last time that weren’t covered
