This 1951 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith was initially owned by Sir William Stewart Duke-Elder, a Scottish ophthalmologist who served as surgeon oculist to three British monarchs beginning in the 1930s. Chassis WME51 would remain under the care of two additional owners in Great Britain before it was relocated to the US in the 1980s. Its James Young coachwork is finished in black with red inserts, and the cabin features beige leather upholstery, wood trim, rear tray tables, a rear sunroof, and a push-button radio. Power is provided by a 4.6L F-head inline-six paired with a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission, and the car has steel wheels, a Spirit of Ecstasy ornament, a badge bar, and chrome trim. Acquired by the selling dealer in 2026, this Silver Wraith is now offered in Washington with a clean New Jersey title.

The body was crafted by James Young of Bromley, England, and is finished in black with red inserts. Exterior equipment includes a Spirit of Ecstasy ornament, semaphore turn signals, a badge bar, and a chrome grille surround, trim, and bumpers.

Steel 17″ wheels feature covers and are mounted with whitewall tires. The car was factory equipped with an independent front and semi-elliptic rear suspension with hydraulically adjustable rear shocks. Stopping power is provided by servo-assisted drums at each corner.

The right-hand-drive cabin features seating upholstered in beige leather, and appointments include wood trim, rear tray tables, a rear sunroof, a heater, and a push-button radio. Interior wear is depicted in the gallery below.

The three-spoke steering wheel has hand throttle and rear shock absorber controls. A wood dash houses a 100-mph reverse-sweep speedometer, an analog clock, a combination gauge for oil pressure and coolant temperature, and auxiliary displays for amperage and fuel level. A Tapley Performance Meter is also affixed to the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 86k miles.

The 4.6L F-head inline-six sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission.
