This Ferrari engine was removed from a US-specification 1968 Ferrari 330 GTC, chassis 10769, that is noted to have been written off in the 1980s. This engine is stamped numero interno 3154, and it was part of Richard “Dick” DeBiasse’s Dark Horse Motors collection. This Colombo engine project is offered at no reserve in Costa Mesa, California.

An induction setup consisting of Weber 40 DFI 2 carburetors, linkages, intake manifolds, fuel rails, and an air cleaner is included. Distributor mounts, caps, plug wires, and plug tubes are also included. A pair of cylinder heads with 24 valves, 24 valve springs, cam caps, and cam covers will transfer to the winner of the auction, and an empty third spare cylinder head is also included. Four camshafts, four exhaust headers, four-bolt main caps, 12 connecting rods, a front pulley, and two flywheels are part of the collection.

Bellhousings, a front timing cover, and housings for the water pump, oil filter, oil pump, thermostat, water outlet, and chain tensioner also convey. The oil sump has a pickup screen, tube, and dipstick. The engine’s starter motor, A/C compressor, A/C mounting bracket, alternator, fuel pump, glass-bulb fuel filter, heater water valve, and T-connections are also included, as is a replacement thermostat. Rounding out the collection are two boxes of nuts, studs, and fasteners, as well as seven bags of nuts, studs, and fasteners and the front-rear engine stabilizer rod.
