



















The 788HS continues to employ McLaren's familiar twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine.

In the 788HS, the V-8 produces 777 horsepower, up by 37 from the 750S, and 590 pound-feet of torque.

McLaren says it can accelerate to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds and reach 124 mph in 7.0 seconds.

The top speed is listed at 205 mph, and the dry weight is a claimed 2789 pounds.

The other big changes come with the aerodynamics, with McLaren fitting a new raised active rear wing and a diffuser inspired by learnings from the company's F1 race cars.

Up front, a new S-duct in the hood directs air over the cabin to that rear wing, and there's also a redesigned front splitter.
