Wiz wrapped up re:Invent 2022 complete with product launches, three speaking sessions, a booth as part of our sponsorship, a Marketplace partner award, and keynote spotlights by AWS executives such as Adam Selipsky, CEO, CJ Moses, CISO, and Ruba Borno, VP WW Channels and Alliances.
Wiz and Amazon share a core value to enable success for our customers through our products. We made product announcements including integration with AWS Security Hub, integration as an AWS launch partner for Amazon Security Lake and our expanded partnership with BigID.
During his opening keynote, Adam Selipsky, CEO, AWS highlighted Wiz on the mainstage when he said, “According to Pitchbook, there are more than 1000 unicorn startups in the world and 83% run on AWS. More than 90% of startups in cloud 100 also run their businesses on AWS. These include successful unicorn startups like Wiz.”
CJ Moses, CISO, AWS, dove deep into Amazon Security Lake during his keynote and put the spotlight on Wiz as an AWS launch partner that integrates with this new service. He said, “Security Lake implements the open cybersecurity framework, an open-source standard, making it easier to normalize combined security data from AWS and broad range of enterprise security data sources like our partners Wiz.”
Wiz was recognized as the AWS Marketplace Partner of the Year – Startup Segment, as part of the 2022 Regional and Global AWS Partner Award. This recognition speaks to our efforts to simplify procurement, consolidate and optimize customer cloud spend, and maximize customer benefits through the marketplace. We’re honored to be showcased as a winning partner by Ruba Borno, VP WW Channels and Alliances, AWS during her keynote.
We went big this year with our presence at re:Invent! Our “Level Up” booth design and swag, inspired by videos games from the 80’s, garnered attention and over 4000 visitors.
We delivered three sessions. Yinon Costica, co-founder and VP Product at Wiz, and guest speaker John Visneski, CISO atMGM Studios, discussed how organizations of every size are adopting Wiz’s agentless security solution to get complete visibility across all their AWS services. Raaz Herzberg, VP Marketing and Product Strategy at Wiz, and Brad Bebee, General Manager at Amazon Neptune, talked about how Wiz uses Amazon Neptune, a fully managed graph database service for a fast, reliable, graph-based approach that reveals security insights and provides contextual risk assessment of clients’ clouds and cloud protection at scale.
George Pisha, Product Manager, Wiz, talked about how Wiz uses Amazon Neptune to deliver new innovations.
