We will now automatically enable read-only mode on Postgres clusters to maintain stability and availability when certain conditions are detected, such as insufficient storage space or extreme replication lag.
Read-only mode preserves cluster functionality while preventing write operations that could lead to instability. Your cluster will automatically exit read-only mode once the underlying issue is remediated.
This feature is rolling out to customers this week and will be available to all customers gradually over the course of 2-3 weeks, depending on your maintenance window.
