Software-based products, systems or services are influencing all areas of life and are a critical component and central innovation driver of digitization in all areas of life. Scientifically, there are new opportunities and challenges for software engineering as a driving discipline in the development of any technical innovation. However, the chances must not be sacrificed to the competition for bibliometric numbers as an end in themselves.
