The Heimdal 5.1.0 RC (Release Candidate) dashboard update is now live, bringing a powerful lineup of improvements designed to make IT management faster, safer, and more intuitive.
From pre-built scripting and compliance dashboards to simpler agent management and refined privilege controls, this release takes another major step toward a fully unified cybersecurity experience.

Last year, we introduced custom scripting to help admins automate repetitive tasks directly from the Dashboard.
Now, the new Scripting Repository makes that process even easier.
It’s a curated collection of pre-built, sanitized PowerShell and BAT scripts for common IT and security scenarios.
Each script is tested, standardized, and ready to deploy — whether for patch validation, configuration checks, or endpoint maintenance.
Admins can browse and import scripts into their Personal Repository, where they’re automatically tagged with a “Heimdal-” prefix for traceability.
You can schedule them to run automatically or trigger them on demand, with complete execution logs and strict role-based access controls.
It’s automation made secure, saving hours of manual work across large environments.

Compliance shouldn’t be complicated.
The new Cyber Essentials Compliance Dashboard turns it into a clear, visual process.
The Devices view tracks whether each endpoint meets key Cyber Essentials controls (Next-Gen Antivirus, Firewall, Patching, and Admin Rights), while the Users view focuses on MFA, password strength, and expiration compliance.
Admins can search, filter, and export data or generate scheduled reports that provide a unified overview of readiness across the organization.
It’s the simplest way yet to identify gaps, demonstrate compliance, and ensure a consistent baseline of protection.
Endpoint management just got more flexible.
The new on-demand uninstall option lets administrators remove the Heimdal Agent directly from the Dashboard in a single step – safely, silently, and with full traceability.
Every uninstall action appears in the Server Commands view, complete with live status and cancellation options.
This gives IT teams better lifecycle control and eliminates the need for manual cleanup commands or remote access sessions.

Visibility is key to effective security management — and two new additions bring exactly that.
Together, these tools help admins verify configurations, trace policy shifts, and maintain control over how endpoints are managed and secured.

Managing elevated privileges shouldn’t slow down workflows.
In Heimdal 5.1.0 RC, the Privilege Elevation module gains a new quick-add dropdown for common Windows tools such as Command Prompt, Regedit, or Device Manager.
We’ve also introduced two small in-house utilities: Heimdal.AddRemovePrograms and Heimdal.NetworkSettings, so users can make safe configuration changes without unnecessary prompts or admin overhead.
Meanwhile, the Application Control module now includes a default allowlist based on publisher, automatically trusting well-known software vendors.
This feature streamlines onboarding, reduces false positives, and minimizes manual rule creation, freeing up your team for higher-value work.
Heimdal 5.1.0 RC brings a range of smaller yet impactful refinements across modules:
The Heimdal 5.1.0 RC update unifies automation, compliance, and visibility into one cohesive experience.
From secure scripting and compliance insights to privilege and app control refinements, every feature is built to simplify protection and empower IT teams to act faster.
Take full control of your operations today and experience how Heimdal 5.1.0 RC makes protection smarter, simpler, and more powerful than ever.
