Miles Bridges Granted Restraining Order Against Mychelle Johnson
Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges has been granted a temporary restraining order against former partner Mychelle Johnson after court filings detailed a series of allegations, including claims that Johnson impersonated another woman who said she was pregnant with Bridges’ child.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Bridges told a North Carolina judge that Johnson contacted his attorney using a fake identity and falsely claimed to be carrying his child. Bridges said his legal team initially believed the claim and arranged a paternity test before discovering the situation was a hoax.
The restraining order requires Johnson to remain at least 500 yards away from Bridges, his home, and Charlotte Hornets facilities. The order also prohibits Johnson from harassing Bridges, his current girlfriend, Shara, or engaging in cyberstalking activities.

Bridges described the alleged impersonation as part of what he called “a deliberate campaign of terror” in the court filing.
According to TMZ, Bridges claimed Johnson contacted his lawyer pretending to be another woman who was pregnant with his child. Bridges stated that his representatives scheduled a DNA test before realizing the claim was fabricated.
The filing also accused Johnson of sending messages from a fake phone number that included Bridges’ home address. Bridges said the messages were intended to intimidate him.

Miles’ team actually scheduled the DNA test before realizing it was a hoax, leading a judge to grant him a restraining order against Johnson.
In addition, Bridges accused Johnson of threatening to release nude photos of him online and displaying “paranoid and obsessive behavior” involving his current relationship.
The court documents also included allegations connected to an incident at Spectrum Center during a Hornets game.
Bridges claimed Johnson “abandoned” their four children with a nanny and traveled to the arena while intoxicated. According to the filing, Bridges alleged Johnson rented a nearby hotel room, positioned an accomplice in the hotel lobby, and hid behind his vehicle in the arena garage while attempting to tamper with the tires.
Bridges stated that his girlfriend, Shara, and children had recently been inside the vehicle.
“Mychelle knew those children had ridden in that vehicle,” Bridges said in the filing, according to TMZ, and “did not care.”
The temporary order remains in place pending a future hearing that will determine whether the restrictions are extended or modified.
Johnson has not publicly responded to the allegations or the restraining order.
The latest legal filing adds to the lengthy history between Bridges and Johnson.
Bridges previously pleaded no contest in 2022 to a felony domestic violence charge involving Johnson. (via Bet.com) He was sentenced to three years’ probation and ordered to complete domestic violence counseling, parenting classes, and regular drug testing.
The NBA later suspended Bridges following the case.
In October 2023, Bridges also faced criminal summonses connected to allegations that he violated a domestic violence protective order, committed misdemeanor child abuse, and damaged personal property during an incident involving a vehicle occupied by children.
Bridges later turned himself in to the authorities in Lincoln County and was released on bond. Those charges were later dismissed in February 2024 by Mecklenburg County Superior Court because of insufficient evidence, though Bridges’ probation terms from the 2022 case remain active.
The new restraining order specifically includes Charlotte Hornets facilities, creating restrictions around team arenas and practice sites.
Court documents reviewed by TMZ also stated that Johnson allegedly told the couple’s children they would not attend Bridges’ NBA games “because his girlfriend will be there.” Bridges denied claims that he does not want to see his children.
Bridges wrote in the filing that Johnson’s actions had escalated into conduct that he believed endangered him and people close to him.
The Charlotte Hornets have not publicly commented on the restraining order or the allegations contained in the filing.
