On Thursday evening, the Denver Nuggets had their season come to an end when they lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves by a score of 110-98.
They lost the first-round series 4-2.
Nikola Jokic finished the Game 6 loss with 28 points, nine rebounds, ten assists and one block while shooting 11/19 from the field and 1/5 from three-point range in 43 minutes of playing time.

After the game, Jokic was very honest when asked about his future (h/t ESPN’s Anthony Slater).
Jokic: “I still want to be a Nugget forever.”

Jokic finished his 11th NBA season with averages of 27.7 points, 12.9 rebounds, 10.7 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 56.9% from the field and 38.0% from three-point range in 65 games.
After winning the 2023 NBA Championship over the Miami Heat, Jokic and the Nuggets have been unable to return to the Western Conference finals.

Brett Siegel: “I’d be very surprised if one of Aaron Gordon, Cam Johnson, or Christian Braun aren’t moved by Denver this summer. Hard to imagine they’d move Gordon unless they get a huge deal for him, but those other two will certainly be brought up, especially with Peyton Watson being a RFA.”
Kevin O’Connor: “Jamal Murray had the best regular season of his career and Nikola Jokic received MVP votes. But they were both so bad during the playoffs. Jokic and Murray falling short in the playoffs again, plus the lack of impactful moves that can be made to improve the roster, naturally has to raise serious questions about how open the contention window really is for Denver.”
