WASHINGTON, DC - MARCH 16: Kristaps Porzingis #7 and De'anthony Melton #8 of the Golden State Warriors celebrate in the first quarter against the Washington Wizards at Capital One Arena on March 16, 2026 in Washington, DC.
One way or another, the Golden State Warriors are going to look different next season.
The Warriors were eliminated from playoff contention by the Phoenix Suns in the NBA Play-In Tournament, and now Golden State has entered an offseason of uncertainty.
There are questions regarding the future of franchise mainstays like Draymond Green and Steve Kerr, and beyond that, the Warriors also have a plethora of other players headed for free agency over the offseason.
Perhaps they’ll opt to bring back some of their pending free agents, but others have already played their last games in a Warriors uniform. Here’s a look at all of Golden State’s soon-to-be free agents.
The Warriors have four players headed for unrestricted free agency, which means those guys will be able to sign wherever they want and the Warriors won’t get an opportunity to match an offer. Those players are:
Out of those four guys, Porzingis’ situation is the most intriguing. The Warriors would probably like to keep him around after trading for him prior to the deadline, but the former All-Star was non-committal about his future following Golden State’s elimination.
“That’s a good question. I do love my time here, honestly. Not one bad thing I can say about the organization, the team, the teammates. I really love it here, I really do,” Porzingis said of Golden State, via the New York Post.
“As I said before, I haven’t had a good year. If I had a good year, I think I’d have a more clear picture of what I want to do. Because I’ve had an up-and-down year like this, this is an offseason in my career that I think I’m just going to take a step back, look at the whole picture and then see what’s the best direction for me.”
The Warriors have three players headed for restricted free agency. With these guys, the Warriors will get an opportunity to match any outside offers they receive. Their restricted free agents are:
It remains to be seen if the Warriors will look to bring any of those guys back, or if they’ll simply allow them to walk in free agency.
While not free agents yet, the Warriors also have three players with player options for the 2026-27 NBA season that they could turn down in favor of unrestricted free agency. Those players are:
Obviously Green is the guy that all eyes will be on here. The four-time champion is expected to turn down his player option, and he’s made it clear that he would like to sign a new deal with the Warriors.
“But in an ideal world, I think the best path would be to decline and extend,” Green said. “If I had it my way, that would be the best path forward.”
