Jalen Williams of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Jalen Williams gave Thunder fans another reason to pay close attention after Game 2 against the Spurs. Oklahoma City got the win, but the bigger conversation quickly shifted to Williams and what happened after the game.

With the Western Conference Finals heating up, any sign of discomfort from a key player can change the mood in a hurry.

As per Polymarket Hoops, “Jalen Williams has taken down everything on his socials.”

Jalen Williams has taken down everything on his socials. 😬

This‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ has simply fueled the excitement about him, especially after a night which had the fans slightly panicking. Williams has managed to become one of the main topics of conversation after the Thunder’s latest playoff battle, even though he has hardly said anything ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌publicly.

Williams’ injury concern came after he left Game 2 early with hamstring tightness. The Thunder ruled him out for the second half, and ESPN reported that he had already missed six games earlier in the playoffs because of a Grade 1 left hamstring strain. That history is exactly why this latest update matters so much for Oklahoma City.

Thunder vs. Spurs Was A Big Win, But a Bigger Injury Worry

The Thunder figured out a way to get the job done in the end. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored a team-high 30 points and dished out nine assists as Oklahoma City defeated San Antonio 122-113. With this, they tied the series at 1-1.

Besides Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein who helped the team to remain on their feet, on the other hand, Spurs who gave away ttoo many turnovers and couldn’t quite find their rhythm after those rough patches.

Despite winning, nobody really forgot about Williams heading out. He’s been a big part of Oklahoma City’s season, and missing him means the Thunder will have to change the way they play on both offense and defense.

In case the hamstring problem is a long-lasting one, the Thunder might have to depend even more on SGA, Holmgren, and the other players of the rotation on the following game.

According to Game 3 is scheduled for Friday in San Antonio, so Oklahoma City will have only a little time to rest.

So far, the Thunder have a series tied with one win each, but the first priority is Williams’ status. Yes, the victory was necessary. Nevertheless, the alarm about the injury might be more crucial. ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌
