Mikal Bridges, New York Knicks

The New York Knicks needed a bounce-back moment in Game 4 against the Atlanta Hawks, and they got one with a dominant 114-98 victory to even the series at 2-2.

But amid the celebration, it was a raw, unfiltered eruption from Mikal Bridges that put serious questions about his composure and his declining form in this postseason.

Bridges Unleashes on Dyson Daniels

With the Knicks leading 51-38 late in the second quarter of Game 4, a physical play sent Bridges crashing to the floor. Dyson Daniels was whistled for the foul at the 2:08 mark of the second frame, but the call alone wasn’t enough to cool Bridges down.

The Knicks forward got straight back up and unleashed a relentless barrage of words: “F*CK YOU, F*CK YOU, F*CK YOU!” directly at the Hawks guard.

Mikal Bridges to Dyson Daniels:

“F*CK YOU, F*CK YOU, F*CK YOU!”

OG Anunoby also had words of his own during the confrontation, signaling how heated the moment had become.

Knicks Fans Turn on Bridges After the Meltdown

Even after the Game 4 win, fan reaction to the outburst was swift and unforgiving.

One fan said, “have another cry like last game mikal you absolute pu**y,”

While another noted, “There’s no way hyper competitive guys like Hart and Brunson have an ounce of respect left for crybaby Mikal.”

The mockery didn’t stop there, as fans piled on with blunt one-liners: “Soft soft soft,” and “Soft a**s bi**h lmao what a flop” were among the most common refrains flooding the replies.

One particularly harsh commenter wrote, “Mikal f*ck you cry baby bitch boy. Can’t handle any physicality? You haven’t done sh*t all series,” capturing the frustration many fans felt about his overall playoff performance.

Even fans who acknowledged his statistical tidiness weren’t impressed, with one writing, “I get it he was playing pu**y 1st half but gahhhdamnnn might as well keep him benched rest of the series.”

Others called out his defensive lapses directly — “MIKAL THAT IS SOME SOFT A** DEFENSE”  while more measured voices argued that the outburst itself was, writing: “unnecessary and a little disrespectful,” adding that it “just comes off over the top making Bridges look worse / soft.”

Bridges’ Playoff Struggles This Series

The outburst didn’t come out of nowhere; it came from a player who has been visibly frustrated with his own output. In Game 3, a gut-punch 109-108 loss that pushed the Knicks to a 2-1 deficit, Bridges put up a stunning zero points, one rebound, and two assists, while committing four costly turnovers in just 20 minutes.

Head coach Mike Brown subsequently benched him, and criticism began mounting fast. Even across the first two games.
