Timothée Chalamet, and girlfriend Kylie Jenner have become regulars at Knicks playoff games.
Timothée Chalamet and girlfriend Kylie Jenner are among the celebrities who have been front and center during the New York Knicks‘ NBA playoff run. Chalamet faced a dilemma as the Knicks played Game 1 against the Philadelphia 76ers at the same time as the Met Gala.
The event is a melting pot of celebrities, but Chalamet opted to attend the Knicks game instead of being Jenner’s date at the Met Gala.
As Chalamet cheered on the Knicks, Jenner turned heads at the Met Gala in a unique Ferragamo dress.
Time will tell if Jenner is back sitting courtside alongside Chalamet at Madison Square Garden in the upcoming playoff games. Here’s what you need to know about the A-list couple.
The Knicks playoff run has featured no shortage of celebrities including Chalamet, Jenner, Ben Stiller, Tracy Morgan and Gary Vaynerchuk among others. Chalamet is going viral for his courtside seats, but the actor is a lifelong Knicks fan.
“These days, Celebrity Row at the Garden delivers on its name,” The New York Times’ Scott Cacciola wrote in a May 20, 2025, story titled, “Timothée Chalamet Is Living a Knicks Fan’s Dream.” “And in that group of A-listers, Mr. Chalamet has the fan credentials to hang with any of them.
“Evidence of Mr. Chalamet’s longstanding loyalty is apparent in social media posts from November 2010, around the time that Mr. Chalamet, then 14, was attending LaGuardia High School in Manhattan. He was not yet a star. His breakout role in the Showtime series ‘Homeland’ was a couple of years away.”

Meanwhile, Jenner, a Southern California native, has drawn criticism for supporting the Knicks alongside Chalamet while growing up a Los Angeles Lakers fan. Rumors started swirling that the two celebrities were an item in 2023.
“And lastly, I’ll just say, thank you to my partner of three years,” Chalamet said of Jenner during his acceptance speech at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards, per People. “Thank you for our foundation.
“I love you. I couldn’t do this without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

During an interview on Kid Cudi’s podcast called “Big Bro,” Jenner discussed Chalamet’s top movies. Jenner found it challenging to name her favorite movie that featured her boyfriend.
“That’s hard for me because I really love them all,” Jenner explained, per Elle. “’Call Me By Your Name’ is pretty perfect. And I really love the Dune [films]. I saw (Willy
) Wonka like seven times.”
During the NBA playoffs, Chalamet did a photo dump which included pictures from Madison Square Garden. The Knicks’ Instagram account joked that they offered the actor a 10-day contract after seeing highlights of Chalamet playing basketball.
“Check your dms we just sent you a 10-day,” the Knicks responded to Chalamet’s May 5, Instagram post.
Chalamet and Jenner are both likely hoping there is not another Knicks’ scheduling conflict in the coming weeks.
