Once the Philadelphia 76ers punched their ticket to the 2026 NBA Playoffs, the team announced that all home games would feature the throwback court and jersey combination throughout the postseason run.
Five games in, the Sixers have officially ditched the idea.
Heading into Game 6 against the Boston Celtics in South Philly, it was revealed that the 76ers are going to play on their usual court. It was speculated that the Sixers would wear their white jerseys for the outing, and that is, in fact, the case.

For the second game in a row, the Sixers are in win-or-go-home mode.
Heading into Game 5 on the road against the Boston Celtics, the 76ers trailed 3-1. Based on most pre-series predictions, that was already a positive record considering the circumstances.
After a second blowout loss in four games, the 76ers handed the Celtics another stunning loss on the road. Despite trailing for a good portion of the game, the 76ers mounted a comeback and ended up defeating the Celtics by double digits. It was an impressive win by a desperate team.
Now, the Sixers are heading back home, where they haven’t won since the NBA Play-In Tournament.
“Our fans deserve a win at home,” Tyrese Maxey stated after Game 5.

“We lost a tough one and then we got blown out of the water. After the performance that we put on last time in front of our fans, that was a disgrace, and it was unacceptable. I plan on making sure that my teammates go out there and we fight, and we scratch, and we claw, and we get a W.”
The 76ers are hoping that home-court advantage, with their lucky uniforms for the series, is enough of a boost on Thursday night to pick up Game 6.
If the 76ers get it done with a victory, they’ll head back to Boston for a Saturday battle. A Celtics victory would eliminate Philadelphia, preventing them from getting to the second round for the third year in a row.
