Star wing OG Anunoby (hamstring) will be a game-time decision to play in Sunday’s New York Knicks vs. Philadelphia 76ers Game 4.

On the eve of the game, the Knicks listed him as questionable after Anunoby sat out Game 3 with the same injury. The 3-and-D star tweaked his right hamstring in the closing stages of Game 2, but subsequent MRIs revealed he survived a serious injury.

Per multiple Knicks beat writers, the Mike Brown-led Knicks have no intention to rush Anunoby back, given that they have a 3-0 lead in the East semifinals.

OG Anunoby Injury Update

SNY’s Ian Begley reported on Saturday that the Knicks will clear Anunoby only if they get a green light from the medical staff.

“Mike Brown says OG Anunoby (hamstring) remains day-to-day, so no change in his status from that perspective. Brown says decision is solely medical staff’s. Brown initimated that if NYK medical staff tells Brown that Anunoby is OK to play tomorrow, he will play.”

New York Post’s Mike Vaccaro feels the Knicks — on a six-game winning streak in the playoffs — have earned the right to rest Anunoby.

“The Knicks have earned themselves a priceless opportunity, one you rarely get at this point of the basketball calendar,” wrote the Knicks beat writer.

“If they can lay one more thumping on the 76ers on Sunday afternoon — in front of what promises to be another super-friendly audience of New York invaders aggravating and annoying the locals here — the perks will be plentiful.”

In Anunoby’s absence, the Knicks rallied together as a group to blow out the Sixers, 108-94, in Game 3 to seize a commanding 3-0 lead. While Miles McBride did well taking his place in the starting unit, Landy Shamet stepped up with 15 points off the bench, and Mikal Bridges had 23 points — his second-highest output of the playoffs.

“It was definitely a team effort,” Knicks captain Jalen Brunson said after the Game 3 win. “Obviously, we want everyone back healthy. But it was important for everyone to step up and have the right mindset. To do whatever you gotta do to win.”

The Knicks have been one of the hottest teams in the league since trailing 2-1 against the Atlanta Hawks in the first round of the playoffs. During their ongoing six-game winning streak, they’ve decimated opponents by a margin of 25.8 points, while shooting 54.9% from the field and 39.9% from deep. They’ve also averaged an NBA-best 122.6 points during their six-game run.

Knicks vs. 76ers Game 4 will be a matinee game, tipping off at 3:30 p.m. ET on Sunday. A win would propel the Knicks into the conference finals for a second consecutive season.
