The San Antonio Spurs are one win away from making the Western Conference Finals. Ahead of Game 6, Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks made a bold prediction regarding Victor Wembanyama.

Appearing on RayAsianBoy’s recent live stream on Twitch, Brooks was asked about his pick to win MVP. He didn’t reveal his answer, but he had nothing but praise for Wemby. He even went as far as saying that Spurs superstar will win the MVP award for many years once he takes home his first.

“Once Wemby gets his first, you probably won’t see anybody else get (MVP),” Brooks said. “Once Wimby starts getting his first like MVP, you’re not going to see another person get MVP. His numbers are going to go up every year. He’s insane.”

The Villain added, “He can actually shoot over guys. He can just do this and just shoot over you know once he’s understand that it’s over.”

Brooks also said that once Wemby gets stronger, he will be even harder to stop.

Victor Wembanyama Will Finish Top 3 in MVP

The NBA hasn’t announced the winner for this season’s Most Valuable Player award. The three finalists are Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Victor Wembanyama and Nikola Jokic.

SGA is the favorite to win it again, while Jokic’s chances are slim despite leading the NBA in rebounds and assists. Wembanyama made a push for the MVP around the narrative of his defense.

The Spurs superstar became the first-ever unanimous Defensive Player of the Year this season. It was his first individual trophy, though he could have won the DPOY in his first two seasons. He came up short to Rudy Gobert as a rookie and was ineligible due to injuries last year.

In his third season, Wemby averaged 25.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.0 steals and 3.1 blocks per game. He shot 51.2% from the field, 34.9% from 3-point range and 82.7% from the free-throw line.

Wemby also led the Spurs to a 62-20 record this season, which was good for the second seed in the West. They are one win away from eliminating the Minnesota Timberwolves and booking a date with the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals.

The Spurs are looking to finish the Timberwolves on Friday in Game 6 of their second-round playoff series. Victor Wembanyama had vengeance on his mind in Game 5 after his early ejection in the previous game.

Wembanyama avoided suspension after elbowing Naz Reid in Game 4, which ended his night early. He finished with 27 points, 17 rebounds, five assists and three blocks as the Spurs obliterated the Timberwolves 126-97 to take a 3-2 series lead.

The series shifts to Minnesota, but Wemby appeared ready to put the Timberwolves away. He even laughed off the “rage bait” from Ayo Dosunmu in Game 5, showing focus and composure following an unexpected reaction in Game 4.
