TARRYTOWN, NEW YORK - SEPTEMBER 23: Head coach Mike Brown of the New York Knicks speaks to the media at Knicks Training Facility on September 23, 2025 in Tarrytown, New York.

The New York Knicks are up 3-0 in their second-round playoff series against the Philadelphia 76ers, and have the chance to close out the series with a Game 4 win on Sunday afternoon, a contest that won’t feature star forward OG Anunoby, as he has been ruled out with a hamstring injury.

Anunoby missed Game 3, but while the Knicks took a 14-point victory, they hope to be in similar form in what could be the close-out matchup of the series.

Before the game, one that could see New York head to their second-straight conference finals appearance, the team announced their starting lineup and final injury report.

GettyCHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA – MARCH 26: Head coach Mike Brown of the New York Knicks looks on in the second half /C during their game at Spectrum Center on March 26, 2026 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

In a social media post shortly before tipoff, the Knicks’ starting lineup was confirmed.

Jalen Brunson, Miles McBride, Josh Hart, Mikal Bridges, and Karl-Anthony Towns were all named starters by head coach Mike Brown and his staff.

This is the same starting lineup the Knicks used in their Game 3 win, as McBride was used in place of Anunoby, though he had a bit of an underwhelming performance. But aside from him, the other four have been mainstays in the starting lineup for New York over the past two years.

The Knicks could also use Landry Shamet in an increased role as they continue to play without Anunoby. He had a strong showing in Game 3, putting up 15 points on 5/6 shooting, and while he doesn’t offer anything close to the level of defense Anunoby brings to the table, he’s taken on a greater role in scoring the ball.

Regardless, Brunson, Bridges, and Towns will all once again be the biggest keys to the Knicks’ success in Game 4. Brunson’s scoring, Towns’ passing, and Bridges’ heightened play have all been factors in New York’s 3-0 lead over the 76ers and 7-2 record through the playoffs so far. They’ll need all of that again to close out Philadelphia on the road in Game 4 on Sunday.

OG Anunoby Injury Keeps Him Out For Knicks’ Game 4

Anunoby’s injury kept him out for the second game in a row, as Brown announced pregame that the forward would miss Game 4 with the hamstring injury he suffered in Game 2.

While there were initial concerns about the injury, Anunoby remains day-to-day, according to Brown.

Additionally, as Shams Charania of ESPN reported, Anunoby’s hamstring injury isn’t considered serious. It isn’t expected to keep him out for weeks on end, as is the case with Luka Doncic of the Los Angeles Lakers. Though he isn’t playing for the second game in a row, the Knicks appear to be taking a cautious approach with bringing back arguably their most important player through the playoffs so far, and don’t want to heighten the risk of re-injury at the most important time of the season.

“We do know with all soft tissue injuries (that) you have to have a level of caution, and that’s how the Knicks will move forward,” Charania said before Game 3.

Anunoby is the only player listed on the Knicks’ injury report. Both Hart and Mitchell Robinson have been dealing with some health issues, but neither is expected to miss the potential series-clinching contest.

The Knicks vs 76ers Game 4 tips off at 3:30 pm EST on Sunday, May 10, and will be live on ABC.

With a win, New York will advance to the Eastern Conference Finals and will play the winner of the Cleveland Cavaliers vs Detroit Pistons second-round series.
