LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - JULY 07: Executive chairman and CEO of The Madison Square Garden Company and executive chairman of MSG Networks James L. Dolan attends a game between the New York Knicks and the Phoenix Suns during the 2019 NBA Summer League at the Thomas & Mack Center on July 7, 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The New York Knicks have had many issues with James Dolan over the years. He owns the Knicks and loves to insert himself into situations. For years, he micromanaged the inner workings of the team, including personnel decisions.

After he threw out Charles Oakley from Madison Square Garden, Dolan toned things down publicly a little bit. Still, that doesn’t mean he has stopped all of his antics completely. In fact, he has secretly ratcheted things up, according to a report from Pablo Torre.

According to Pablo Torre Finds Out and Wired, Dolan looks at criticisms of the team and has his security call the cops on those fans.

Knicks Owner James Dolan Allegedly Calls the Cops on Critics

Torre and Wired claim that Dolan looks up criticisms of him and the team on social media and instructs his team to call the police on them.

“There’s this one teenager in Colorado who said something on Twitter, and (Madison Square Garden head of security John) Eversole and the Madison Square Garden security staff went into freak-out mode, and they actually called the local cops on this kid.”

Knicks owner James Dolan reads your tweets, per sources inside his surveillance state—then MSG security will “freak the f— out” and call local cops on critics.

“They scared the crap 💩 out of some 14 year old kid in Colorado,” a staffer wrote, in one of dozens of texts we saw.

Things only get weirder, as the security staff would berate the local PD when they wouldn’t do what they wanted.

“When this happened, according to one of our sources, they would ‘freak the f— out…one veteran of Madison Square Garden security told me that Dolan would ‘come in and he and Eversole would pore over all these social media comments about the Knicks and the Rangers.”

Dolan clearly has problems with others thinking he does a poor job, even if it’s true. This alleged behavior is pretty insane for someone who owns two different sports franchises. The NBA should look into this to make sure he isn’t actually doing these things.

James Dolan is Making the Knicks Look Horrendous

Despite the fact that the Knicks are one of the favorites to win the Eastern Conference, Dolan continues to make the team look horrible. Dolan also allegedly had members of his security staff try to track down online critics of he and the teams that he owns.

New York starts the first round of the playoffs next week against the Atlanta Hawks. This will only serve as a distraction for the franchise, especially if the Knicks don’t perform well in the postseason. He seems to be the constant for a franchise that hasn’t won a title since the 1970s.

The Knicks had the fourth-best offense in the NBA over the course of the regular season. That kind of success would seem to have New York as one of the best teams in the conference. Dolan has made it clear that he expects the team to win a title this season.

Dolan has yet to respond to these allegations as of the time of this publication.
