The New York Knicks walked out of Atlanta on Saturday night with the series tied and their most important player back on the floor. Game 4 was not close. New York controlled the pace, shut down Atlanta’s running game, and got a performance from Karl-Anthony Towns that changed the series. The Hawks had no answers.

There was one moment that changed the temperature of the building.

Jalen Brunson left the floor in the third quarter with an ankle injury, sending a jolt through every Knicks fan watching. He eventually returned to the game. New York finished the job.

Now Game 5 comes to MSG on Tuesday, and both teams have submitted their injury reports.

Knicks Get Brunson Update

New York’s injury report for Game 5 carries no names.

The Knicks are fully healthy heading into Tuesday, which is significant given what happened in Game 4. Brunson’s third-quarter exit raised real concerns, but he returned to finish the game and has since been cleared. No questionable designation. No lingering status questions. He is available.

That matters enormously for a team that runs through Brunson on almost every possession. The Hawks have made life difficult for him throughout this series, deploying Dyson Daniels and Nickeil Alexander-Walker to hound him and sending double-teams whenever a screen is set. Brunson has acknowledged the challenge directly.

“Find the open man. There’s two on the ball. Someone has to be open,” Brunson said Monday.

He contributed 19 points in Game 4 despite the defensive attention and the ankle scare.

Big Man Remains Out for Atlanta

Jock Landale remains sidelined with a high ankle sprain and will not be available for Game 5.

The Hawks head to New York already dealing with other problems. Their shooting was a significant issue in Game 4, connecting on just 21 percent from three-point range on 41 attempts. They also committed 18 turnovers.

Atlanta had not shot that poorly from distance at any point during the regular season, and the ball security made a difficult night even harder.

How New York Got Here

Game 4 was the most complete performance of the series for the Knicks.

Towns delivered a strong showing for New York, finishing with 20 points, 10 assists, and 10 rebounds. Anunoby was the game’s leading scorer with 22 points, adding 10 rebounds in a two-way performance that set the tone.

Brown adjusted his rotation meaningfully, reducing Mikal Bridges‘ minutes and leaning on Miles McBride and Jordan Clarkson off the bench. Both delivered.

McCollum paced the Hawks with 17 points, and Johnson managed 14 points on 4-of-12 from the field.

Final Word for the Knicks

New York enters Game 5 healthy, with Brunson cleared and the series on their terms.

The Knicks have home court, a full roster, and momentum from their most complete game of the postseason.

Madison Square Garden will be loud. The Knicks will be ready.
