Minnesota Timberwolves star Donte DiVincenzo exited Saturday’s Game 2 with an apparent Achilles injury.
DiVincenzo, 29, crumbled to the floor as he attempted to track down a long rebound.
The Wolves guard hit the floor and grabbed at his Achilles tendon before immediately signaling for the medical staff to come check on him.
Donte DiVincenzo Suffers Injury
With just over 1 ½ minutes gone by in the first quarter, DiVincenzo suffered the apparent Achilles injury.
Replays showed DiVincenzo aggressively lunging for the loose basketball. The moment appeared eerily similar to when Tyrese Haliburton tore his Achilles tendon in Game 7 of the NBA Finals last year.
The Wolves are hoping for the best.
This story will be updated when more information on DiVincenzo’s injury is provided.
