NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported assistant general manager Alec Halaby ended his tenure with GM Howie Roseman and the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday.
On the heels of adding what appears to be another strong draft class, the Philadelphia Eagles will undergo a change in their front office.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday longtime assistant general manager Alec Halaby will leave his position with the franchise.
“After 17 years with the Eagles organization, assistant general manager Alec Halaby has decided to step away to start a new professional chapter of his career,” wrote Rapoport on X.
“The personnel executive was a key contributor to both Eagles Super Bowl championships.”
Both Halaby and Eagles general manager Howie Roseman released a statement on the team’s official X account Tuesday morning.
“I am deeply grateful to the Eagles organization, especially Jeffrey [Lurie] and Howie [Roseman], for giving me a chance to work in the game I love,” wrote Halaby. “Jeffrey’s stewardship has created a first-class organization…
“Football has been a core part of my life for as long as I can remember; that won’t change. Nevertheless, after 17 years in Philadelphia, I’ve decided to step away to start a new professional chapter.
