Davante Adams Sends Fitting Message After Rams Explored T...

Los Angeles Rams star Davante Adams shared a timely reminder about himself.

The Los Angeles Rams explored trade options with Davante Adams this offseason. They ultimately decided against making such a move, and head coach Sean McVay said he has discussed the matter with the six-time Pro Bowler.

There have not been any overt signs that Adams felt put off by the Rams’ efforts, which included pursuing a trade for Philadelphia Eagles star A.J. Brown.

Still, Adams’ latest expression of thought paints a vivid picture.

Rams Get Reminder From Davante Adams

GettyDavante Adams put together another strong campaign in his first season with the Rams.

Entering Year 13, Adams shared a reminder of just who “One7…” is. That was how Adams–who has a 1,017-12,633-117 career stat line–captioned a graphic from CBS Sports that showed him with an NFL-best 11,704 receiving yards over the past 10 seasons.

He shared it on his Instagram story on May 13.

“These players have dominated the last decade [eyes emoji],” CBS Sports captioned the original post on X on May 12.

Adams accumulated 7,192 of those yards (along with 581 catches and 69 touchdown grabs) with the Green Bay Packers during that span. He tallied another 2,869 yards in two-plus seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders and 854 yards with the New York Jets.

In addition to his Pro Bowls, Adams is also a three-time First Team All-Pro.

He ranks fourth among all active players and third among his fellow wide receivers in career receiving yards.

Davante Adams Still Productive Late in Career

GettyDavante Adams continues to produce late into his career.

The Rams signed Adams to a two-year, $44 million contract in free agency last offseason.  He missed the final three regular-season games, but still finished with 60 receptions, 789 yards, and a league-leading 14 touchdowns.

Adams took a backseat to incumbent Rams star Puka Nacua as the main threat.

He was still a preeminent threat in the red zone. He also leads the NFL with 28 end zone targets and 14 touchdowns over the past decade, per Sharp Football Analysis’ Rich Hribar on May 13.

“As long as Adams is healthy, he will be the receiver opposite Puka Nacua in the Rams offense,” Rams On SI’s Blaine Grisak wrote on May 11. “It would be unrealistic to expect 14 touchdowns again from Adams. However, if the Rams can get 750 yards and eight touchdowns, that would still be a good season. Adams has said that Los Angeles is his last stop. One more Pro Bowl caliber season from Adams may be enough to get him a Super Bowl.”

Davante Adams Looking to Snap Unfortunate Streak

GettyDavante Adams is still seeking his first Super Bowl appearance.

Adams has been to five NFC Championship Games in his career. Four of them were with the Packers. The other came in 2025 with the Rams. He has never reached the Super Bowl.

“Heartbreak,” Adams told reporters in January following the Rams’ loss to the eventual Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship Game. “It’s tough. It’s tough to talk, honestly.

“I’m proud of the way the guys fought today.”

The Rams have openly said there are no plans to adjust Adams’ expiring contract, setting up the 2026 campaign as his potential swan song, at least in LA.
