The Minnesota Vikings have officially agreed to terms with WR Jauan Jennings per Adam Schefter.

Adam Schefter shared the news on X.
“Former 49ers free-agent WR Jauan Jennings and the Minnesota Vikings reached agreement today on a one-year deal worth up to $13 million, per his agent Drew Rosenhaus.”
Tom Pelissero shared some additional compensation information.
“New Vikings WR Jauan Jennings’ one-year deal is worth $8 million, with a chance to make up to $13M with incentives, per source. Jennings fills the role of Jalen Nailor, who left in free agency, in a WR group with superstar Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison.”
The Vikings’ WR room now looks complete. Jennings is the assumed WR3, with Jefferson and Addison being the top dogs. Tai Felton, Dillon Bell, and other young players bring up the back end.
In his 5 years in San Francisco, Jennings was a reliable target. His total production came out to 210 catches, 2,581 receiving yards, and 22TDs. At times, it was fair to say Jennings was WR1 in San Francisco. The loss of Deebo Samuel to Washington and the Brandon Aiyuk saga fetched him more targets.
Jennings now joins QB Kyler Murray in Minnesota after defecting from the NFC West.

“The Vikings already have a top-tier duo at wide receiver in Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, as well as former Pro Bowl tight end T.J. Hockenson. However, the front office believes it needs a proper replacement for the speedy Nailor, which is why the team is hosting Jennings on a free agent visit in the wake of the draft wrapping up.”
Many Vikings fans were concerned when it became apparent that Jennings left the building last week without signing a contract. Perhaps they thought it would be like the Kyler Murray signing, where he inked his deal in the evening of the second day.
Patience was key as always, and the Vikings got the contract done a week later.
The contract for worth up to $13 million is a fantastic value for the Minnesota Vikings. Many experts put Jennings’ price tag in the mid-teens of millions. Yet, the Vikings got him for an $8 million guarantee.
It’s unclear what the incentives are when it comes to the $13 million ceiling of the agreement. Either way, they are likely marks in which the contract will be more than worth it if Jennings does get them.
Worst case, the Vikings got themselves a quality WR3 for one year and not a lot of financial commitment.
