Over the years, Green Bay Packers edge rusher Micah Parsons has left little to the imagination when it comes to his feelings about the Philadelphia Eagles. That feeling? Nothing short of a deep-seated hatred built up over playing the Eagles twice a year over his 1st 4 seasons with the Dallas Cowboys.

Parsons is being called out for letting that hatred manifest itself in a really uncomfortable, awkward way during a post-draft interview with wide receiver Makai Lemon after the Eagles selected him in the 1st round (No. 23 overall) of the 2026 NFL draft.

Lemon was doing an interview with Bleacher Report during their live stream of the 2026 draft, which featured Parsons as part of a group doing short interviews with some of the 1st round picks.

When Lemon, the Biletnikoff Award winner at USC in 2025, called the Eagles a “great” organization and expressed how excited he was to start playing for him, Parsons laughed at him.

“Ay, bro, congratulations, bro,” Parsons said to Lemon. “You had me at everything but the greatest organization, bro. I was really trying to hold (the laughter), bro.”

As could be expected, NFL fans weren’t too happy about Parsons making light of Lemon in the most important moment of his life to this point.

Parsons Called ‘Terrible Human’ After Interview

Social media users were quick to condemn Parsons for his “disrespectful” interview with Lemon, who appeared somewhat confused by what Parsons was saying.

“Micah Parsons is a terrible human,” Eagles fan PhiSportFanatic wrote on their official X account. “1. He will never be invited back to another NFL draft event … 2. Lemon said that Philly is a ‘great’ organization not the ‘greatest’ … 3. Just straight disrespecting the rook in the biggest moment of his life.”

“Yikes: Micah Parsons fully DISRESPECTED new Eagles rookie WR Makai Lemon in his post-draft interview … ” NFL influencer Dov Kleiman wrote on their official X account. “Lemon was not a fan of Parsons jabs.”

“WILD: Eagles new WR Makai Lemon was NOT AMUSED by Packers’ Micah Parsons shot at the Eagles … Lemon called Philly a ‘Great organization’ which Parsons disagreed with and laughed,” MLFootball wrote on its official X account. “When Parsons was laughing Lemon was straight-faced … “

“Makai Lemon did not find Micah Parsons entertaining at all,” Eagles Wire’s Victor Williams wrote on his official X account.

Eagles Tried to Trade for Micah Parsons

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Cowboys included a “Poison Pill” clause when they traded Parsons to the Green Bay Packers in August 2025 that included language intended to block him from playing for the Eagles until at least 2027.

According to Parsons, the Cowboys were willing to trade him to the Eagles before the 2025 season, but he pulled the plug on the deal when he realized the Eagles would have to give up NFL All-Pro defensive tackle Jalen Carter to get him.

“There was one person that I had to play with that if he was gone I did not want to be there — and that was Jalen Carter,” Parsons said in a Bleacher Report podcast conversation with Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown and Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young.
