NFL insider Justin Schultz reported former Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Adoree' Jackson is visiting the Dallas Cowboys in NFL free agency.
Veteran cornerback Adoree’ Jackson spent just one year with the Philadelphia Eagles. But he might stay in the NFC East for the 2026 NFL campaign.
NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported the Dallas Cowboys are hosting Jackson on a free agency Tuesday.

Jackson was with the Eagles last year, where he started 10 games — recording 55 tackles, 11 PBUs, and 1 INT. His DBs coach there was Christian Parker, who is now the Cowboys’ DC.
As Schultz indicated, Jackson started 10 games for the Eagles last season. In 14 contests overall, he had 55 combined tackles, 11 pass defenses and one interception.
Jackson signed a 1-year with the Eagles last offseason. He joined Philadelphia following four seasons with the New York Giants.
In New York, the veteran cornerback started 41 games. In 51 contests overall, he registered 204 combined tackles, 28 pass defenses and two interceptions.
The cornerback also spent four seasons with the Tennessee Titans to begin his NFL career.
The veteran defensive back didn’t necessarily have the best Eagles tenure. According to the Pro Football Focus player grades, Jackson had one of the worst seasons of his career in 2025.
Ironically, he played his two worst games of the campaign, according to PFF, against the Cowboys.
But seeing the veteran cornerback potentially played against them twice next season is still probably not what the Eagles had in might with Jackson’s free agency. The defensive back played fairly well against his former team, the Giants, last year with the Eagles.
Jackson began his career as a first-round pick as the No. 18 overall selection for the Titans in 2017. In his first two seasons, he reached 70 combined tackles with at least 10 pass defenses both during 2017 and 2018.
After his rookie contract expired, Jackson inked a 3-year, $39 million deal with the Giants in NFL free agency. He returned to New York on a 1-year contract during 2024.
In all likelihood, Jackson is searching for another 1-year contract this spring. Spotrac projected his market value to be $1.8 million for the 2026 campaign.
Jackson will bring 111 games worth of NFL experience to his next team. He has started 92 contests, posting 72 pass defenses with five interceptions.
The Cowboys have bolstered this pass defense this offseason. In 2025, Dallas featured one of the worst secondaries in the league, finishing last in passing yards allowed.
While Jackson could be a potential cornerback upgrade for the Cowboys, the Eagles found their own upgrade over Jackson.
In NFL free agency, Philadelphia signed Riq Woolen to a 1-year deal. Woolen was part of the elite Seattle Seahawks defense last season. During 2025, Woolen registered 41 combined tackles, 12 pass defenses and one interception.
The free agent cornerback made the Pro Bowl while finishing tied for the league lead with six interceptions during 2022.
Woolen is projected to start opposite Quinyon Mitchell in Philadelphia this fall. Along with Mitchell, cornerback Cooper DeJean is set to return as the team’s starting nickel.
The Eagles also signed veteran slot cornerback Jonathan Jones in NFL free agency.
Philadelphia possesses nine cornerbacks and four players the team has classified as “defensive backs” on the offseason roster. DeJean is one of the four defensive backs while Jones is considered a cornerback.
Besides Mitchell, Woolen and Jones, the other cornerbacks on Philadelphia roster this spring are Jakorian Bennett, Michael Carter II, Kapena Gushiken, Mac McWilliams, Kelee Ringo and Ambry Thomas.
